Voice agents on Workerflow can now handle calls in Bulgarian end to end: they understand the caller, reason over your workflows and data stores, and answer in a natural Bulgarian voice.
This has been the single most requested addition from teams in the region, and it is live for every account on the platform today.
What is included
- Speech recognition tuned for Bulgarian, including numbers, dates and spelled-out names, which is where most call automations fall apart.
- A set of Bulgarian voices to pick from, chosen for how they sound on a phone line rather than in a studio.
- The same agent behind the call. Nothing about your workflow changes. The language is a setting on the voice agent, so the same logic, tools and data stores serve callers in either language.
Where teams are using it
The first deployments are the calls nobody enjoys taking: order status, missed delivery attempts, appointment confirmations and the long tail of "I just have a quick question" calls that keep a support team from doing anything else.
A typical setup looks like this:
- The call comes in and the agent greets the caller in Bulgarian.
- It identifies the order or account from what the caller says.
- It looks the record up in a data store or through an API call.
- It answers, or hands over to a person with the full context attached.
Step four matters as much as the rest. A voice agent that cannot gracefully hand a call to a human is a liability, so escalation is built in: the agent transfers the call and the person picking it up gets a written summary of what was said.
Setting it up
Open any voice agent, choose Bulgarian as the language, pick a voice and run a test call. Every call still produces a full transcript and execution log, so you can hear what the agent decided and why before you point real traffic at it.
More languages are on the way. If a specific one is blocking a rollout for your team, tell us and we will prioritise accordingly.
